FiloKin Edu (kizitochikuni.com) is a purpose-built educational platform designed to empower Malawian students, teachers, and lifelong learners with free, high-quality educational resources.
Built from the ground up with accessibility, performance, and scalability in mind, this platform delivers:
📚 Free Resource Library: Past exam papers, study notes, and revision pamphlets for Primary & Secondary schools
📧 Smart Newsletter System: Brevo-powered email automation with unsubscribe tokens and preference management
📱 Mobile-First Design: Fully responsive interface that works seamlessly on phones, tablets, and desktops
🔒 Privacy-First Architecture: GDPR-compliant data handling, rate limiting, and transparent privacy policies

Backend: PHP 8.x, PDO, MySQL/MariaDB
Frontend: HTML5, CSS3 (CSS Variables, Flexbox, Grid), Vanilla JavaScript
Email: Brevo (Sendinblue) SMTP + PHPMailer
PDF Processing: FPDI for branded footers, Imagick for thumbnail generation
Security: CSRF tokens, prepared statements, input validation, honeypot spam protection
Performance: Lazy loading, WebP thumbnails, minimal dependencies, server-side caching
SEO: Schema.org structured data, semantic HTML, meta tags, canonical URLs
