🎓 Important Policy: Free Secondary Education

Good News for Internal Candidates: Internal candidates at all levels are NOT expected to pay examination and ID fees. This is in line with the Government of Malawi's free secondary education policy. Ensure your school registers you strictly as an internal, bonafide student.

💰 2027 Examination & ID Fees (External, Private & ODL Candidates)

For external, private school, and Open and Distance Learning (ODL) candidates, the following fee structure applies. (All amounts in Malawi Kwacha - MWK)

⚠️ Best Practices & Strict Penalties

MANEB has issued a stern warning: They will NOT deal with queries resulting from failure to follow best practices. Verify all details (name, date of birth, gender, subjects) before paying, as the system does not allow amendments after payment.

Non-Negotiable Penalties:

• MWK 5,000: Amendment of registration info during the registration period (after initial payment).
• MWK 20,000: Amendment of registration info after closure of registration and exam has been written.
• MWK 50,000: Resolution of examination result queries submitted after the designated period.

What MANEB Will Reject:

• Late registration or late payment after the 18th December 2026 deadline.
• Change of candidate details, subjects, or entry type (Internal/External/ODL) after closure.
• Addition of subjects after payment.
• Transfer of candidates between centers after registration.
